River City is looking for adults interested in coaching in the River City Lacrosse program for both boys and girls.  We are looking for great leaders and coaches.  We teach the game and guide your coaching with a detailed certification and educational system.  This ensures parents get comfortable coaching a game that is still relatively new to the Midwest.  Much of the training can be accomplished online at your own pace through US Lacrosse.

This November 4 and 5th, parents have an opportunity to become US Lacrosse Level 1 and/or 2 certified coaches.  This year River City was instrumental in bringing a certification clinic to Illinois which will be held at Lewis University.  It came down to St. Charles and Lewis University as host location for the certification clinic, Lewis won due to larger turf and classroom facilities.

For our club to continue to be successful on the field and in the community, we need involvement!  Let’s face it.  Lacrosse is still new to the area, so we don’t have many adults who have experience playing the game.  Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the US.  We need outgoing parents and guardians to work with RCL in coordination with US Lacrosse, so we can continue to properly develop players in our community.

River City has become one of the leading youth lacrosse organization in the country to adopt the Lacrosse Athlete Development Model (LADM).  LADM has 6 core values:

  1. Designed for Development
  2. Fun and Kid Centered
  3. Small Sided and Free Play
  4. Multi-Sport participation
  5. Physical Literacy
  6. Coach Training
